Nat Chandler's recording
"Like Father, Hymns of Praise and Need" got its name from a newpaper
article written in 1966 entitled "LIKE FATHER" in which Nat was compared to his
Dad, also an accomplished singer. This recording includes many great hymns of the old
South, old England, and a nod to Martin Luther. Also included is a very special duet of
"In the Garden" with Nat's father, Tom Chandler. David Schrader, organist
for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra plays the mighty Schantz organ featured here. For
20 years, Dr. Schrader has been the organist of Church of the Ascension in Chicago, whose
